Total dependent on God leads to triumph

I was amazed by the word of God in 2nd Samuel chapter 5 verse 19.
So David inquired in the Lord, "Shall I go and attack the Philistines? Will you hand them over to me?" The Lord answered him, "Go, for I will surely hand the Philistines over to you."

Even David had won so many battles in his life, he still ask the Lord if he has the permission to take their enemies. David understood these things:
1. His victory came from God and not his ability or strength.
2. He always ask the Lord and totally dependent on God in his battles.
3. He is aware that if God is not with him, he will lost so many lives.
4. His courage and strength came from God

In our lives, most of the time we remember God during our agony, sufferings and downfall. We never understand that all victories are in Him. This is the reason why we are facing so much failures because we forgot the creator and owner of what we desire. Hope this will encourage us all. God bless!
